Hydroponic Barley Grass (Latra) Machine Project Syria year 1998 – 2007: Sustainable Fodder for Livestock

Discover our innovative solutions for providing high-quality, nutritious animal fodder using hydroponics, reducing water and land consumption.

Project Overview

This project addresses a major challenge facing livestock breeders in Syria: providing continuous green and nutritious fodder.

The hydroponic fodder machine is designed to efficiently produce green barley or wheatgrass in just a few days, providing a rich source of proteins and vitamins for livestock, with significant water savings compared to traditional fodder cultivation.

Key Highlights

Main Purpose: Producing fresh green fodder for livestock.
Production Cycle: 7-10 days
Fodder Benefits: Weight gain, improved animal health, increased milk production.
Water Saving: 90%
Project Year: 1998 – 2007

Future Impact

This machine is an ideal solution for areas suffering from water scarcity and arable land, as it provides a sustainable source of green fodder, enhancing animal food security and supporting local breeders.

We have plans to expand the dissemination of this technology to serve a larger number of communities.
